Our day trips take us to the island of Koh Rong Samleum and Koh Koun which are situated approximately 2 hours southeast of Sihanoukville. The islands provide several large beaches with some smaller ones in between, most of them untouched by tourism so far.
Around the islands we have nearly 20 divesites including Corner Bar, Cobia House, Backdoor and the Secret Reef, which have been featured in the "Asian Diver" , the dutch "Duiken" and the german "Tauchen" magazines.
For the daytrip we meet in the morning at 7 a.m. in our office. As soon as everybody is sorted out we hop into our tuktuk to drive down to the harbour where our boat is already waiting. A light breakfast is served during the boat ride, while enjoying the beautiful views. We will reach our island pier at around 10 a.m. to grab masks, fins, weightbelts and wetsuits and to pick up the divers that stayed overnight.
The first dive starts arund 11:00 a.m. and lasts, depending on our guests air, up to 1 hour. As most of our divesites are quite shallow we manage to do the full hour of diving almost all the time. After the first dive we will enjoy lunch ether at the dive boat or back in our base at the Sunset Beach on Kohg Rong Samleum, freshly cooked by our local chef. We get in the water for the second dive around 1.30 p.m. After the second dive we drop all overnight divers back on the island whilst the rest of us head back to the mainland. You can expect to be back in our office in Sihanoukville between 6 p.m. and 7 p.m.
We charge $80 for two fundives including a small breakfast on the way out, lunch in between the dives, all the equipment necessary as well as an open return ticket back to Sihanoukville.
